It’s all about the romance and magic of the FA Cup this weekend in England.
West Bromwich Albion welcome West Ham to the Hawthorns for an early kick-off. Coach Tony Pulis will be delighted at the stirring of record-signing Brown Ideye, who has snapped out of a lean spell to score two in his last two games. He also laid on an assist for Saido Berahino in midweek, hinting at the possibility of a partnership.
Nigeria striker Victor Anichebe is the Baggies’ top-scorer in the Cup with three goals, but is likely to miss out due to injury.
Blackburn welcome Premier League opposition in Stoke City. The Potters started brightly in their 4-1 midweek defeat at the hands of champions Manchester City before being ultimately overrun, and will look to Victor Moses to provide a similar bright spark.
Stoke hold an impressive record over Blackburn, having not lost to them in their last eight meetings in all competitions.
Holders Arsenal will be wary of the threat of Championship leaders Middlesbrough, who travel to the Emirates on Sunday. Having seen off Premier League champions Manchester City in the previous round, Aitor Karanka’s men are full of confidence and have only lost once in their last six meetings with Arsenal.
Defender Kenneth Omeruo is in line for a start, following injury to regular centre-back Dani Ayala.
Watford will unleash the might of striker Odion Ighalo on Bolton in championship action this weekend. The former Nigeria youth international has netted fourteen goals for the Hornets this term, eleven of those in his last seven games.

Italy
Lazio travel to Friuli to face Udinese in Serie A action on Sunday. The Romans have hit a blip recently, with only one win in five games, and are again unlikely to dress Super Eagles’ midfielder Ogenyi Onazi. The 22-year-old has not made an appearance since the 11th of January as a sub in a 2-2 draw against Roma.
Inter got back to winning ways last time out, rolling over Palermo to get their season back on track. They travel to Atalanta this weekend, and will be confident of a result against the second-worse attack in the league. Midfielder Joel Obi will likely sit this out on the bench.

Spain
The last few game-weeks in La Liga have seen resurgences from Almeria and Granada. The former have moved out of the relegation zone, while the latter have turned in more improved performances in recent times.
However, neither Nigerian on their payroll have had much to do with it. Ramon Azeez has found himself rooted to the Almeria bench under Juan Ignacio Martinez, while Isaac Success seems to have dropped out of the Granada picture altogether.
The Uches are however keeping the Nigerian flag flying in the Spanish top-flight. After marking his return to La Liga with a goal last week for relegation-threatened Levante, Kalu Uche will take a bead on Barcelona this time around.
Ikechukwu Uche’s Villareal welcome Rayo Vallecano to El Madrigal, and will be confident of victory, having won their last six meetings between the two sides.

Germany
Saturday sees Anthony Ujah’s Koln travel to face Borussia Monchengladbach in Bundesliga action. The Super Eagles striker is top scorer for the Billy Goats with six league goals, but has not found the net since mid-December.

France
Elderson Echiejile was in action in midweek as Monaco overcame Rennes in the French Cup, and will hope he has done enough to keep his place for the visit of Montpellier this weekend. Monaco have not lost to Montpelier in any of their last six meetings in all competitions.
Vincent Enyeama’s Lille face off against Nice, and could go above them with a win in this one. Nice are something of a bogey team for Les Dogues though, and have won their last four encounters without conceding a goal.

Netherlands
Vitesse host Willem II on Saturday in the Eredivisie. The Arnhem-based club have ridden out a run of indifferent form to win three games on the bounce, and will look to hold on to the final Europa League place. Sadly, striker Abiola Dauda has been missing in action, his last start coming on the 7th of December against Twente.
Cambuur will have to make do without top-scorer Bartholomew Ogbeche, who is suspended for the visit of Kenneth Otigba and Heerenveen. With the visitors undefeated in eight, things do not look very rosy for Cambuur, whose run of four straight losses has seen them slide down the table
